As someone who tested the nearly identical Anker Solix C800 Plus model extensively, recently renamed as “X,” I can confidently say this portable power station is a game-changer for anyone invested in the Apple ecosystem. The 768Wh capacity means you can charge your MacBook Pro up to 8 times, your iPhone up to 40 times, or keep your iPad Air and Apple Watch topped up for days without hunting for an outlet (or if your power is out).

The C800 X isn’t just another battery pack — it’s a full-fledged power solution that transforms how you work and play with your Apple devices. With 1,200 watts of continuous power (peaking at 1,600W with SurgePad technology), this unit handled everything I threw at it during testing: charging my MacBook Pro while simultaneously powering my iPad Air, iPhone and even running a full-size refrigerator during a simulated blackout.

Premium features that matter

Impressive versatility sets the C800 X apart. The unit features 10 different ports including five AC outlets, two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports (one delivering 100W for fast-charging MacBooks), and a 12V car socket. This means you can literally power your entire mobile office setup simultaneously — MacBook, external monitor, desk lamp, and charge your iPhone and AirPods — all from one relatively compact device (24 pounds, with a handle for carrying).

The built-in camping lights are a brilliant addition that the standard C800 doesn’t include. Three removable LED lights stow in the top compartment, each offering three brightness modes. They automatically recharge when docked to the power station, making them perfect for outdoor adventures or emergency situations. Think of them as your always-ready flashlight that never needs separate batteries.

Lightning-fast recharging

One of the most impressive specs is the 58-minute HyperFast recharge time when using the UltraFast mode through the Anker app. That’s significantly faster than competing units with similar capacity. You can also recharge via solar panels (300W max input), reaching 80% in just 2.3 hours of sunlight. That’s perfect for extended camping trips or off-grid work sessions.

The power station uses LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) batteries, which are the gold standard for portable power. These batteries are rated for 3,000 charge cycles, meaning you could theoretically use this device every single day for nearly a decade before seeing significant capacity degradation. That longevity makes the C800 X a smart long-term investment, especially compared to older battery technologies that degrade much faster.

Built for Apple users

The Anker app integration feels right at home for iOS users. Connect via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to monitor battery levels, track charging status, adjust output settings, and enable UltraFast charging mode—all from your iPhone. The interface is clean, intuitive and provides real-time data on how much power each port is drawing.

During my testing of the C800 Plus (which shares identical specs), the LCD display proved incredibly useful for quick glances at remaining capacity and current power draw. You always know exactly how much juice you have left and how long your devices will continue running.

Value proposition

At its regular $649 price point, the C800 X competes favorably with other premium portable power stations. However, with the current Amazon deal offering substantial savings (check for on-page coupons), you’re looking at approximately $0.43 per watt-hour — significantly better value than competing brands like EcoFlow, Jackery, or Bluetti.

The package includes the Anker Solix C800 X Portable Power Station, three removable camping lights, solar charging cable, AC charging cable, car charging cable, digital manual, and the five-year warranty. Everything arrives ready to use — just charge it up and you’re good to go.

And Anker Solix is running a promotion that give you 5% off purchases over $1,000 by using code USAFF5 at Anker’s website, where you can get this model for $50 less than at Amazon ($349 instead of $399).
