The iPhone 7 has been leaked again, but this time, it’s not just an empty shell. The latest photo revealing the back of the new device gives us our very first glimpse at its larger camera lens.
Nothing is worse at concerts than having some dude block your view of the band for 45 minutes to take crappy iPhone pics. But those days may be coming to an end soon thanks to Apple.
The company was recently granted a patent that would allow concerts and other private events to block iPhone users from taking photos and videos of the event by using infrared signals.
A French TV station turned to iPhones to keep a popular talk show alive during a recent power outage. Much of On n’est pas couché was shot using Apple’s smartphones and limited lighting, but the footage still made it into the final broadcast.
Yet another sketchy leak suggests Apple’s upcoming iPhone 7 Plus will feature its first dual-lens camera system. The alleged chassis has surfaced just days after one tipster claimed that “technical difficulties” had scuppered Apple’s upgrade plans.
Cameras are just getting more versatile, and the YoCam is proof. It’s designed to work in any scenario you can imagine, from snapping selfies to setting up a security camera or filming underwater. It’s small but feature rich, and connects with a versatile app that will make this a great go-to camera, all for $179 at Cult of Mac Deals.
Pictures snapped from an iPhone are about to take a huge step closer to pro status this year and you won’t even need to buy the iPhone 7 Plus’ rumored dual lens to get them.
For the first time ever, Apple is finally bringing RAW image files to the Camera app in iOS 10 thanks to a new AVCaptureOutput that will also allow third-party apps to snap Live Photos along with RAW.
Forget iMessage apps, the Siri SDK, QuickType AI suggestions and the Apple Music redesign.
There is one iOS 10 feature that I’m looking forward to more than any other: The ability to take pictures while listening to music.
Remember those awesome pictures you used to take on your Game Boy Camera? Now you can snap them on your iPhone, thanks to BitCam.
Created by Iconfactory to celebrate its 20th anniversary, BitCam brings retro photography from the ’90s back to life. It even has an 8-bit interface inspired by Apple’s early Mac OS operating system.
New cases designed for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus strengthen claims that the larger model with have a dual-lens camera system and a Smart Connector. In exchange for those upgrades, it seems Apple really will do away with the headphone jack.
Some reports have claimed Apple’s next-generation iPhones will be its thinnest yet, but according to a new schematics leak, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be just as thick as the company’s latest models.
But that doesn’t mean the headphone jack is sticking around.

You may not have to pay extra for a high-end iPhone 7 Plus with a dual-lens camera after all. According to one reliable analyst, Apple now plans to deliver the upgrade as standard on all 7 Plus models as demand for greater smartphone cameras increases.
The dimensions of the iPhone 7 Pro will be exactly the same as the iPhone 6 Plus, according to an alleged leaked schematic from Asia, but the new device will feature a couple of major physical changes.
Apple is supposedly planning to include a dual-lens camera on the iPhone 7 Pro and, if these drawings are genuine, we might now know what the high0tech camera sensor on the back will look like once it’s released later this fall.
Take a peek:
The recent earthquakes which struck Japan may have affected the iPhone 7 supply chain — particularly related to the next-gen handset’s camera module.

Countless YouTube videos and reviews have demonstrated just how impressive Samsung’s new smartphone camera is in Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, but just how good is it compared to the rest of them?
According to the experts at DxOMark, it’s the best you can get right now.

We’ve already watched the Galaxy S7 batter the iPhone 6s in a series of camera tests, but how well does it stack up against a professional DSLR? When it comes to phase detection autofocus, surprisingly well, actually.
See Samsung’s new smartphone make the Nikon 70D look bad in the mind-blowing autofocus test below.

Xiaomi’s brand new Mi 5 handset boasts a revolutionary new image stabilization technology, and there’s no better way to showcase that than by shaming the iPhone.
In the video below, Xiaomi pits the Mi 5 against the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in an optical image stabilization test — and makes them look downright disappointing.
The iPhone 5se could be the pinkest iPhone Apple’s ever made if you believe the rumors, but what if it came the body like an iPhone 6 instead of a 5s?
In a new concept of Apple’s 2016 iPhone lineup, the folks at Curved have put a pink spin on the iPhone 5se that’s expected to be unveiled on March 15th. They also created concepts of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus that add rumored features like a dual lens camera on the 7 Plus and a simpler frame with fewer antennas and no headphone jack.

Considering my Sony RX100 cost about 40 times more than a garden variety point-and-shoot camera, I’d expect it to come with a quality strap. But it does not. It comes with a shoelace attached to a string.
I wanted a strap I could securely attach to the tiny ring, let hang out from my bicycle jersey pocket, and slip my hand through for easy access.
While sifting through Sony camera internet forums, I discovered Gordy’s. And I’m ecstatic I did.
Apple’s favorite camera sensor maker may have just dropped a big hint that a dual-lens camera is coming to the iPhone 7 later this year.
Sony CFO Kenichiro Yoshida revealed yesterday during the company’s Q3 FY15 earnings call that its dual-lens camera platform will be featured in a range of products from “major smartphone players” over the next year.
Could he possibly be talking about the iPhone?
Award-winning Israeli photographer Sephi Bergerson recently shot an Indian wedding in Udaipur using just his iPhone 6s Plus — and the results are spectacular!
In an accompanying video, Bergerson describes the way that using an iPhone has changed his photography. While he notes that it ultimately still comes down to the skill of the photographer (which is presumably why I’m yet to pick up any photography awards despite my many iPhone snaps), it’s fascinating to hear him discuss his craft.

Apple has invented a camera lens that would yield higher-resolution images and would be even tinier than the cameras used in today’s super-slim iPhones.
How tiny would it be? Imagine a total axial length of just 2 mm or even less, making this potentially perfect for the long-awaited FaceTime camera of the next-gen Apple Watch 2.
