After 1473 days of waiting for an update, new Mac minis might finally be on the horizon.
Apple’s ‘More in the Making’ keynote is less than 24 hours away and one of the most anticipated new devices is expected to be an updated Mac mini. We’ll have to wait a few more hours to see what it looks like, but for now, we’re busy drooling over this gorgeous Mac mini concept that brings a pro look to Apple’s smallest Mac.
Take a closer look:
Created by concept designer Viktor Kádár, the concept Mac mini borrows a few design elements from the MacBook Pro. The housing sports a space grey finish with a tapered design at the bottom that makes it visually emerge from the surface of the table.
As far as ports go, the Mac mini concept has everything you could want. Four Thunderbolt 3 would take over the place of the current two Thunderbolt 2, with USB-C and two USB-3.1 ports. There’s also HDMI 2.0, an SD card reader, 3.5mm headphone jack and a 10 Gigabit Ethernet port. Of course, on the inside, you would get a bunch of upgrades too like a better processor, more RAM, and have the ability to upgrade parts on your own.
Kádár’s concept also brings some updates to the Apple’s keyboard by adding a Touch Bar to the top. It also comes with a black Magic Mouse, making the entire setup look wickedly awesome.
We’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see if the new Mac mini is anything like the concept. At this point, we’ll be happy with pretty much any updates.
You can watch Apple’s entire ‘More in the Making’ keynote tomorrow, October 30 by streaming it on your iPhone, iPad, Apple TV or PC.
