It’s taken no time at all for Chinese companies to copy one of Apple’s most anticipated products of 2018, and it’s not even out yet.
Apple’s AirPower wireless charging pad isn’t expected to roll out for a few months, but one company in Shenzhen China has already come out with its version that looks and performs just like Apple’s.
Check it out:
Aptly dubbed the “Mini ‘AirPower'”, this knockoff charge can juice up an iPhone X and Apple Watch Series 3 at the same time. The design of the Mini appears to be slightly smaller than Apple’s AirPower charger.
Details on the manufacturer of the Mini AirPower aren’t clear, but a report from ChargerLab claims that charger will be priced around $15. If it actually works that’d be a no-brainer for iPhone X owners. Early rumors have claimed the Apple AirPower mat could cost as much as $199.

Not the same as Apple’s at all. Apple’s AirPower allows you to put down the iPhone, Watch, and AirPods case in any position/order for charging. This knockoff clearly has a magnetic dimple for the Watch and another space for the iPhone.
It looks a lot smaller and it doesn’t look like there’s room for all three at once. Personally, I think it looks better than the AirPower and $185 would be a lot cheaper even if we were talking about a MacBook. I feel bad for anyone that spends $200 for an airpower without at least checking this out to see if it explodes or tracks your identity.
$200 for a wireless charger…jesus
What a great wireless charger.
Why there’s no one is selling when you search online If it’s already avaialable in China?
