We hope you didn’t spend the last of your savings on iPhone X, because you’re going to need more if you want an AirPower charger to go with it. According to one retailer, Apple’s latest accessory will be wildly expensive.

AirPower is unique in that, unlike most wireless charging pads, it can charge up to three devices simultaneously. You can top up your iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch all at once. But you might have to pay through the nose for the privilege.

AirPower could cost $199

AirPower will be priced at 999 zł (approx. $273.99) in Poland, according to local retailer X-Kom.

The actual U.S. price is expected to be closer to $199, which is still painfully expensive. Especially when you consider third-party pads can be bought for as little as $14.99, and even premium models with fast charging are as little as $39.99.

We have to point out, however, that X-Kom’s information could be inaccurate. Apple hasn’t confirmed its price tag for AirPower yet, so we should take this with a grain of salt. It’s likely little more than a guess.

AirPower launches in 2018

Apple’s prices do seem to be rising rather rapidly when you consider the cost of its latest iPhones, the iMac Pro, and even AirPods. But $199 for a wireless charging pad would be pretty insane.

We’ve asked Apple for clarification and we’ll update this post if we get a response, but don’t hold your breath. We likely won’t know for sure how much AirPower will cost until it make its debut next year. Apple hasn’t even confirmed a specific release date yet.
