Nintendo’s new Switch console is turning the gaming world on its head, but it could soon face some fresh the Raspberry Pi.
YouTuber Sudo Mod recently revealed his latest creation that stuffs a Raspberry Pi, LCD and controller into a tiny Altoids tin. The finished product looks like something you’d actually want to game on and it’s even more convenient to carry around than an iPhone.
Prepare to be amazed:
The mintyPi 2 is a follow-up to an earlier project Sudo Mod made that wasn’t nearly as elegant. To make the mintyPi 2 look like a more like a legit product, parts were 3D printed to improve the quality and comfort.
Other upgrades include an integrated hinge that holds up the display while you’re playing. It packs a bigger display, USB sound and Wi-Fi thanks to the affordable Raspberry Pi Zero W.
Sudo Mod says it will post a how-to guide in the coming weeks. He plans to make 3D printed parts available for sale in case you don’t have access to one. No word on battery life or how much the entire thing costs to make, but it might be about as cheap as the NES Classic.
