Apple discounted a whole bunch of its USB-C accessories last November after fans complained about the new MacBook Pro’s reliance on dongles. If you haven’t already taken advantage of the savings, today is your last chance.
In an effort to make the MacBook Pro thinner and lighter than ever before, Apple ditched aging ports and SD card slots and gave users USB-C instead. That means that you need an adapter if you want to plug anything into your machine.
Those adapters aren’t cheap if they carry Apple logos, but since November, they’ll been more affordable than usual — thanks to some pretty generous price cuts. Here are all the things Apple discounted:
- USB-C to traditional USB adapter from $19 to $9
- Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter from $49 to $29
- USB-C to Lightning cable (1 meter) from $25 to $19
- USB-C to Lightning cable (2 meters) from $35 to $29
- Multiport adapter with HDMI, USB, and USB-C from $69 to $49
- Multiport adapter with VGA, USB, and USB-C from $69 to $49
Apple also slashed up to 25 percent off all third-party USB-C peripherals.
Sadly, the price cuts weren’t permanent. Apple has already extended them once, but today is the day the discounts end. If you need to pick up one of these accessories, then, you should get it today before the price goes back up.
