Apple CEO Tim Cook made a special appearance during one of the first screenings of former vice president Al Gore’s new movie this week.

To kick off the Silicon Valley screening of Gore’s film, “An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power,” Cook gave a short speech before the silver screen lit up. Tim praised Gore for his work on the movie which is a direct sequel to the Academy Award-winning documentary “An Inconvenient Truth” which highlighted the signs and dangers of climate change.

Al Gore’s sequel

“Ten years later, there’s still signs all around us of the climate crisis, but there’s also great reasons for optimism,” said Cook. “Markets are rewarding renewable energy everywhere, but of course the clock still runs, and the urgency has never been greater, and so I think there has never been a better time for this film.”

Al Gore has been an Apple board member since 2003. During a Q&A session after the screening he praised Apple for its efforts to run on 100 percent renewable energy.

The movie follows Al Gore as he goes around educating people on the dangers of global warming and climate change. Gore even talks to Donald Trump in the film after he won the presidential election. “An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power” is set to hit theaters on July 28, 2017.

at what cost? Al Gore has done nothing – except enjoy the rewards of apple – what the macintosh line has suffered.

    • I was paid 104000 bucks in 2016 by doing an online job at home and I was able to do it by working in my own time for 3+ hrs every day. I followed a business opportunity I came across from this website i found online and I am so excited that i made so much extra income. It’s beginner-friendly and I’m just so thankful that I found out about this. Here is what i do… DR.TL/186020

Nothing? Al Gore has invested his personal life energy into a cause that affects all of humanity. What is the basis for your sanctimony? Even if you disagree, at least have the decency to respect the fact that he is doing something to help.

I wish Apple’s board of Directors would clip this irritating guy’s wings. He obviously has way too much time on his hands, which isn’t a good sign.

Maybe you should share your enlightened cause with Al Gore — it obviously empowers you to criticize him. Please tell us what it is — you just might enlighten Al Gore and the rest of us us to do something more meaningful for the greater good. Waiting on your wise counsel …

A shame. Al Gore is hypocrite and his campaign is just propaganda serving to his huge business wit emissions. Apple is moving more and more towards politics and this is INSANE. I have real doubts if me and my company will further buy their products.

Apple is a lifestyle company. I buy Apple because I admire its products and it’s values. For me those two factors are inseparable. If you don’t like their values, that’s your choice; but I am pleased to see a corporation with a living, breathing soul that resonates with my own, and I will reward it with my business and advocacy.

Apple exists to make a profit. You’re so naive, you must be a Bernie supporter.

  4. TimP. says:

Wow!! THE Al Gore who invented the internet!

    Well said. Thank you.
