Apple is “confirmed” to be showing off a new (Product) RED Apple Watch Sport band at today’s media event, according to an image which has appeared on Twitter.
The company has been giving out similar bands to various celebrities for some time now, but this is the first time they would go on sale to the general public.
Seriously, could today’s Apple keynote get any more packed?
Apple has been promoting RED products since Steve Jobs first launched the RED iPod in 2006. Since then, the company has raised more than $65 million for the charity, which provides funds to help fight AIDS in Africa through various programs.
Given that previous Apple Watch Sport bands have only been available in black, white, green, blue and pink, the (Product) RED band is certainly one of the most striking variations released by Apple yet. And it’s for a good cause, too.
You can’t say fairer than that!
