I’m really picky when it comes to buying new wallets. I don’t carry many cards and, much like the Queen of England, I rarely carry cash, so I hate anything that unnecessarily puts a big bulge in my back pocket.
With the Slim Wallet from Danny P, I’ve found a beautiful leather billfold that carries up to eight cards and a fistful of notes without ever getting too bulky.
Handmade out of high-quality Italian leather, the Slim Wallet is soft and supple and incredibly good-looking. I chose the brown “cognac” model, which has blue insides that deliver a somewhat striking contrast to the quiet exterior. The two colors work wonderfully well together to provide the Slim Wallet with its own unique look.
Thanks to that soft leather and the surprisingly lightweight design, the Slim Wallet is immensely comfortable in your pocket. So comfortable, in fact, that you’ll quickly forget it’s even there. I filled mine with as much as I could cram into it, and even though it got slightly fatter, it still slipped nicely into my pockets — even in the tighter pants I sometimes wear out at weekends.

The Slim Wallet’s excellent design means that even if you fill it, it never gets too fat. There’s space for eight cards, two pockets for additional business cards and IDs, and a generous slot for paper money. If you’re a receipt hoarder or you happen to have dozens of cards, you may have to streamline a little bit, but there’s plenty of space here if you need it.
What’s more, the Slim Wallet won’t just accommodate U.S. dollars, but also taller notes like British pounds and euros. For those who like numbers, it measures 4.69 inches (119mm) wide by 3.54 inches (90mm) tall when it’s closed.

I’ve been using Danny P products for a while now — I had both the wallet case and the regular case for iPhone 5s, and I’m using a gorgeous leather MacBook Air sleeve (review coming soon) — and I’ve always been hugely impressed by their design and build quality. You have to spend extra for these items, but it’s well worth it.
With the Slim Wallet, you get a stunning product that suits almost any style, whether you’re suited and booted for the office or heading out for some milk in an old pair of jeans. It’s built to last: The more you use it and the more worn it becomes, the more character it has and the better it looks.
The Slim Wallet’s priced at $109, and I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who’s on the hunt for a fancy leather billfold with plenty of space that never gets too chunky. It’s also available in black and a darker “tobacco” brown, and you can order yours now from the Danny P website.

Uhh, what’s next, toaster and blender reviews? I’m sure the ThighMaster people would give you a few bucks to push their products too…. There’s a reason I read Cult of Mac – to get high quality, high integrity tech reviews and recommendations. Resorting to hawking wallets, etc cheapens the entire operation and smells of a sell-out for a buck. If you want to be a culture/style/fashion blog, then fine, but when you blatantly promote non-tech products, I assume, for a fee or some sort of compensation or trade (can’t imagine why else such an off-topic item would be reviewed), it casts a shadow on everything you promote and review.
We’re simply trying to expand our coverage. We like to showcase cool things that you won’t see on every other tech blog. Sure, I could have reviewed an iPhone case or an iPad stand instead, but you’ll find reviews for those things just about everywhere else.
I can assure you we were not paid to review this. We aren’t paid to review anything, in fact.
Thanks for the toaster/blender suggestion. I’ll see what I can do.
So change the name of the site to Cult of Anything and Everything then.
Great review. Seems easy to me to not read the article since there was a headline description. Haters are everywhere these days.
This article is the epitome of “Cool Story Bro”.
Somebody got some free stuff. How is this revelant to apple?
Look up “Smallet”. I’ve used it for years.
Lookup Bellroy wallets!! slim
Very cool! I’ve been looking for a new wallet, I’ll definitely consider this one.
I definitely think wallets are relevant to tech blogs as they compete for precious pocket space with smart phones. Also, Apple is trying to kill them with Apple Pay…
Much like Parkinson’s Law of work/time, a wallet will expand based on how much room it makes available for your stuff. There are a lot of wallets out there that claim to be “slim,” but they sure do offer a lot of space… Consumer beware of all the hype.
