Apple last refreshed the iPhone SE in 2022. While the model is begging for an update, the company apparently plans to launch one only in 2025.

Despite the iPhone SE 4 a year away from launch, its alleged CAD renders have leaked online. They reveal its iPhone 14-inspired design and the addition of a 6.1-inch display with a notch.

iPhone SE 4 might take design inspiration from iPhone 14

The current-gen iPhone SE’s design is based on the iPhone 8. A report from November 2023 claimed the iPhone SE 4 could look similar to the iPhone 14, signaling a significant departure from its dated design. The new leaked iPhone SE 4 CAD renders courtesy of 91Mobiles obtained by “industry sources” further reiterate this.

Based on the images, Apple’s next iPhone SE will apparently sport a 6.1-inch display with a notch at the top. It will ditch the Touch ID-integrated Home button and the chunky bezels.

Despite the slimmer bezels, a 6.1-inch panel would be a big step up from the iPhone SE’s 4.7-inch display. Purportedly, the iPhone SE 4 will measure 147.7 x 71.5 x 7.7mm, the exact dimensions of the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14.

The phone will seemingly house a USB-C port at the bottom, flanked by speaker grilles on both sides, though only one should be functional. There were also reports that the iPhone SE 4 could sport an Action button. However, it’s difficult to ascertain from the renders whether the button is there.

No dual camera setup on iPhone SE 4?

If the leaked CAD renders are accurate, the iPhone SE 4 might house a single rear camera. This could be a cost-cutting measure from Apple, enabling it to price the iPhone SE 4 at around the same price as the existing model.

Despite the alleged iPhone SE 4 CAD renders leaking, the device is unlikely to debut anytime soon. Multiple rumors have indicated Apple is planning to unveil the phone in 2025 after the company put its launch plan on hold for a couple of years.
