The 2024 Super Bowl is Sunday, and football fans can watch via their favorite Apple device. Maybe it’s on an Apple TV connected to the big screen in your living room, or you might need to watch on your iPhone because you have to be at work tonight.

Whatever your setup is, here are the best ways to stream the big game.

The sporting event of the year

Just in case you’re behind, the 2024 Super Bowl is between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers. The oddsmakers say the 49ers are slightly more likely to win, but who knows how it’ll turn out? That’s why they play the game.

You can be certain of a halftime show starring Usher, plus almost an hour of commercials at $7 million for each thirty second spot.

Experts predict over 110 million people will watch. Here’s how you can use your Mac, iPhone, iPad or Apple TV to be one of them.

Stream for free? Probably not.

In years past, it was possible to stream the Super Bowl completely for free. All you needed was a free app. Not anymore. That said, there’s a way that might let you stream it at no cost today. Possibly. More on this below.

You can still watch for free — the game will be broadcast on CBS. All you have to have is a TV and probably a decent antenna.

But that won’t put Super Bowl XLIII on your Apple device. If that’s your goal, read on.

Best way to watch 2024 Super Bowl: Paramount+

The easiest and simplest option for watching the titanic conclusion to the NFL season on an iPhone, Mac, iPad or Apple TV is with Paramount+. The game is being broadcast by CBS, as noted, and Paramount+ is the network’s own app.

This might also be the cheapest option: there’s a one-week free trial. You can only use this trick once, though — it’s gone if you used it to watch something earlier on P+. That said, the one-month subscription you need to watch the Super Bowl is only $5.99.

For $11.99 you get CBS streamed live. And CBS offers hours of football coverage before the kickoff.

There are versions of the app for iOS, iPadOS and tvOS. The software is free, so all you need is the subscription. Mac users can head for paramountplus.com with the browser of their choice.

Download on the App Store

Sign up for a month, watch the game, then cancel the subscription. But you don’t have to — Paramount+ has a lot of great shows you can try out over the next four weeks, like every Star Trek series and movie ever.

Watch on your cable provider’s app

P+ isn’t your only option. If you’re already an Xfinity or Spectrum subscriber, make sure you have their application on your Apple devices. These can stream CBS so you can watch today’s game.

And those two are only the largest cable providers. Whatever yours is, check to see if they have an app that can be used to stream the Super Bowl to the device you want to watch it on.

When to watch Super Bowl 2024

The big game starts on Sunday, February 11 at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT. If you simply can’t wait, there’s hours of pregame coverage, as previously mentioned.

The matchup happens for the first time in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium.
