Apple reportedly will produce the iPhone 15 in an array of mostly muted colors. New images of mockup units show the upcoming handset in five generally pastel shades.
The iPhone 15 Pro series supposedly will be available with a different, smaller range of colors.
iPhone 15 might come in 5 pastel colors
Apple has a habit of changing the casing colors for its iPhones, probably to suit current tastes. The iPhone 14 comes in six colors after Apple added yellow in spring 2023.
For the upcoming iPhone 15 series, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts the options will be blue, pink, green, yellow and black. Other sources say the fifth option will be an orange/coral color, rather than green.
Tipster Sonny Dickson shared images apparently of five mockup iPhone 15 units showing the casing colors from various angles.

However, these pictures show the fifth color option as white rather than green or orange/coral. That’s what the color looks like in the images, anyway. Still, Dickson has a history of successfully leaking accurate prerelease looks at Apple handsets.
None of the hues look very bright, with the black unit the only one with a strong color. The rest seem very pastel. The iPhone 15 Plus is expected to come in the same muted colors as the smaller model.
iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max buyers reportedly will be able to choose from gray, white, black or blue. Gold allegedly won’t be an option this year.
More about the iPhone 15 series
The four models in the iPhone 15 series won’t be officially announced until Apple’s “Wonderlust” event on September 12. That’s when we’ll get definitive word on the color options.
Another change expected in the upcoming handsets is the end of the Lightning port, which Apple will replace with USB-C to comply with European Union mandates. Plus, Apple apparently plans to bring the Dynamic Island to regular iPhones. (The innovative screen cutout currently only comes on Pro models.)
