For the third year in a row, Apple Card has been named the Best Co-Branded Credit Card for Customer Satisfaction with No Annual Fee in J.D. Power’s study of U.S. credit cards.

Many customers are satisfied with Apple Card

Apple Card tries be consumer friendly, and its statements appear in the iPhone Wallet app. It offers cash-back rewards paid every day. The Mac-maker’s name is on the card but Goldman Sachs is the bank backing it.

The card debuted back in 2019, and has done well in J.D. Power’s satisfaction survey almost from the beginning.

“We are honored that Apple Card has been recognized as a leader in customer satisfaction,” said Jennifer Bailey, VP of Apple Pay and Apple Wallet, in a statement. “In partnership with Goldman Sachs, we are continuously working to expand the value users receive from Apple Card, most recently with the launch of Savings, and we look forward to continuing to develop tools and services that put our users and their financial health first.”

Recently, Apple added a savings account option from Goldman Sachs for Apple Card users, possibly buoying up its score for the 2024 survey.

Beats the competition

J.D. Power’s survey measures customer satisfaction with credit cards in account management, benefits, customer service, new account, rewards earning, rewards redeeming and terms.

Apple Card won its category with a score of 655 out of a possible 1000. The highest score for any card in any category was 712.

In second place in the Co-Branded Credit Card with No Annual Fee category was Hilton Honors American Express Card with a 638 score. Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card (Chase) and PayPal Cashback Mastercard (Synchrony Bank) both earned 636 for a tie for third place.

The J.D. Power study includes responses from 31,418 credit card customers, and was fielded from August 2022 through June 2023.
