The new Epomaker TH80-X compact keyboard comes with a large, multi-use control knob and a built-in LCD screen for customization.

Available today, the latest member of Epomaker’s TH80 family of mechanical keyboards features a space-efficient 75% layout rather than a full-size one.

Despite the keyboard’s small size, the company said the TH80-X doesn’t lose much if any functionality because it’s customizable through Epomaker Driver. The software allows users to create macros to boost their keyboard usage.

The TH80-X mechanical keyboard is hot-swappable, meaning users can change out the switches and keycaps without needing a soldering iron.

Large control knob

Epomaker pointed out that many mechanical keyboards now come with volume knobs (though plenty of them are not just for volume). However, the knob on the new TH80-X goes well beyond that function.

“With a few shortcuts, the knob can adjust the device volume, screen display, RGB backlight, connection status, and more,” the company said.

Personalized LCD screen

With the new TH80-X, you can choose from two color combos and three switches.

The new keeb also adds an LCD screen for user customization:

For a better response to the knob control, TH80-X is equipped with a built-in LCD screen. With the addition of this dynamic display, customers are granted the freedom to craft and showcase personalized animations, logos or cherished images from the Epomaker Driver, making the keyboard more individual and embracing distinctiveness.

Gasket structure for stable typing

Epomaker used a gasket structure in the TH80-X to combine a satisfying typing feel and an interesting typing sound profile.

The gasket minimizes vibration and noise. An iron plate contributes to a bouncy and stable typing feel.

3 ways to connect plus a big battery

You can connect the keyboard to a variety of devices through wired USB, wireless Bluetooth and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.

Through Bluetooth, the keyboard can connect to up to three devices at once. The keyboard is compatible with macOS and Windows. You can use the control knob to switch between devices.

In addition, the TH80-X features two 4,000mAh batteries, for a total capacity of 8,000mAh. That helps ensure uninterrupted use, without needing breaks for recharging.

You can pick up the affordable keyboard at Epomaker or on Amazon for $99.99. You get your choice of gray-green or blue-gray color combinations and either Gateron Black, Gateron Yellow or Epomaker Flamingo switches.
