Gaming brand Razer birthed a new litter of Kraken Kitty headsets Tuesday in recognition of International Cat Day, “so gamers, streamers, and cosplayers alike can celebrate in style.”
It said its original Kraken Kitty headset is one its most popular models.
“When we first released the Kraken Kitty, it really scratched an itch in the market, as there was nothing like it before.” said Alvin Cheung, senior vice president, Hardware Business Unit.

Cheung and company kept the International Cat Day-related metaphor going for its updated lineup, too. Regarding the kraken, by the way, Sea Serpent Day was Monday. Coincidence? Maybe.
“At Razer, we’re always on the prowl for ways to bring bolder and better products to gamers. The latest line of Kraken Kitty headsets continues to drive this design philosophy in an iconic form factor,” he added.

It called the Kraken Kitty V2 “pawsitively striking,” noting it’s slimmer than before yet has larger cat ears. And it fits right into Razer’s RGB ecosystem, Razer Chroma RGB.

Or, you could choose the Kraken Kitty V2 BT, the wireless Bluetooth version. It features up to 60-hour battery life, Chroma RGB on-the-go and Bluetooth 5.2 with a gaming mode for low-latency gaming performance, Razer said. It comes in the Quartz color.
Or you can get the kitty without the headset, so to speak. Razer offers Kitty Ears V2, clip-on kitty ears for virtually any headset. The new ones are 50% larger than the previous model.
Its adjustable silicone straps help with a comfortable fit. Available in Quartz or Black.
