Apple will release the new Beats Studio Pro over-ear headphones July 19, according to the same anonymous source who correctly predicted the recent release of Beats Studio Buds+.

The new cans are expected to have high-end features a la AirPods Max, like Beats’ latest active noise cancellation (ANC), and to come in four colors.

Leak: Apple will release new Beats Studio Pro headphones on July 19

Details about he upcoming headphones came last week via Myke Hurley on his podcast Connected, according to MacRumors. Hurley cited his sources as the same one who correctly called the recent release of Beats Studio Buds+.

Images leaked on Twitter show a Beats Studio Pro design that looks similar to Beats Studio3 Wireless headphones. The new headphones could be a replacement for the $350 Studio3, released way back in 2017.

The new Beats Studio Pro headphones are expected to have a USB-C port instead of micro-USB for charging. They may have improved microphones, sound profiles for different listening preferences, a newly designed carrying case, a 3.5mm jack and Fast Pair and Find My Device for Android users. What chip the headphones will use remains a mystery for now. Studio3 uses Apple’s W1 chip.

Hurley’s source also said the new cans will come in black, navy blue, sandstone and deep brown colors.

When Beats put out Beats Studio Buds+, it emphasized the new headphones’ improved active noise cancellation and longer battery life. Those are likely features of Beats Studio Pro, too.

The likelihood of an impending Beats Studio Pro release came up in the iOS 16.5 beta release and also in references in an FCC filing.

The new Beats Studio Pro are expected to cost about $350.
