Eve’s new version of the battery-powered Flare makes it easy to let there be light pretty much anywhere. You can walk from room to room or even outside with it.

It features more of a warm glow with a selection of colors rather than focused light. It’s great for setting a mood but maybe not so much for reading a book.

In addition to being being battery powered and small enough to tote around, the light has a handle. You can use that to carry it or to hang it somewhere.

You can control the color and temperature from your device.

You can control Flare via iPhone or iPad through the Home app, Siri voice assistant or the Eve app. The light supports millions of colors and carries IP65 water resistance.

Flare supports Bluetooth the Thread mesh-networking protocol and will receive firmware updates in order to support the Matter home-automation standard at some point, the company said.

You can pick up Eve Flare on Amazon for $99.
