A while back, German audio powerhouse Sennheiser began teasing the April release of its new, top-tier Momentum True Wireless 3 earbuds. But then retailer Lufthansa WorldShop went ahead and (briefly) posted a detailed listing for the new buds ahead of Sennheiser’s official, and yet to come, release.
So now we know a bunch of the new buds’ specs as well as pricing details.
Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 earbuds leak
In March, Sennheiser indicated it would release its new Momentum True Wireless 3 earbuds in April, less than a year after it sold its consumer audio business to Sonova Holding AG. But Lufthansa WorldShop beat them to the punch, listing the new product with images and details before the actual release. And then the retailer removed the listing.
The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 earbuds — and update on the previous generation, Momentum True Wireless 2 — will come out in three colors, according to Lufthansa WorldShop. The black, graphite or white buds will match their charging cases. And the cases appear to have a classy-looking texture, as well.
While several details were apparent from the listings, they did not note the earbuds’ or cases’ sizes. From the imagery, they appear fairly compact, but it’s not easy to be certain.

Possible sale or shipping date, plus pricing
According to WorldShop, the Momentum True Wireless 3 become available on May 10, 2022. But it’s not clear if that reference in the listing meant the shipping date or the announcement date, which Sennheiser had previously said would occur in April.
In addition, it’s unclear if the release will cover worldwide markets, including the US, or start in Europe. The WorldShop referred to the EU, Switzerland and the UK.
Before the listings went away, they quoted Momentum True Wireless 3 pricing at €249 ($271). When the previous version came out in 2020, it cost $299.
