The first trailer for the Apple TV+ series WeCrashed focuses on the eerie cult of personality that WeWork co-founder Adam Neumann built before his company crashed. The series will star Jared Leto as Neumann, with Anne Hathaway playing his wife (and fellow WeWork exec), Rebekah.
The series will portray “the love story at the center of it all,” according to Apple. The streaming service also revealed on Wednesday the premiere date for the WeWork series: March 18, 2022.

WeCrashed is based on actual events. Adam Neumann built WeWork from a single co-working space into a global brand worth $47 billion in less than a decade. But it’ll also show how that valuation dropped to $10 billion in a few months amid questions about how Adam Neumann ran the company.
Lee Eisenberg and Drew Crevello developed the series for Apple. Eisenberg has a multiyear deal with Apple, and previously created the critically acclaimed Little America for Apple TV+. The show will be directed by the team of John Requa and Glenn Ficarra.
The first three episodes of WeCrashed will debut on March 18, 2022. They’ll be followed by new weekly installments each Friday during its eight-episode season through April 22.
The Apple TV+ catalog grows
Apple’s streaming video service boasts a rapidly expanding selection of series and films, including dramas, thrillers, comedies, sci-fi, documentaries and more. Many feature big Hollywood stars and directors. (Leto has earned an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award and a SAG Award. So has Hathaway.)
Other new shows coming soon to Apple TV+ include The Afterparty, a comedy/murder mystery set to premiere January 28. A week later will follow Suspicion, a thriller starring Uma Thurman.
All of these, as well as WeCrashed, come with a $4.99-per-month subscription to Apple TV+.
