Rumor has it the iPhone 14 Pro will dump the screen notch for a pill-shaped camera hole. A concept artist turned the unconfirmed report into a possible design for Apple’s 2022 flagship phone.
He even put the additional screen space to good use.

The proposed device sits next to an iPhone 13 Pro to make comparing the screen notch and the possible camera hole easier.
Zelbo also says to “Check the status bar for a surprise!” With the small camera hole, the designer added battery percentage back to the Home screen.
Backed up by rumors
The 2022 iPhone series will include, according to a growing number of reports, Apple’s first flagship handset since iPhone X without a notch. It will instead have a small cutout for its front-facing camera.
A recent report says the camera home won‘t have the usual round shape, but will be pill shaped. Supposedly, only the front-facing camera will be in the cutout. Face ID sensors will move under iPhone 14 Pro’s display.
The unconfirmed reports make clear that the design change applies only to the two iPhone 14 Pro models. The two non-Pro iPhone 14 versions will retain the usual screen notch.
