The latest Apple TV update adds new Aerials screen savers that will mesmerize you with rugged scenery. tvOS 15.2 also includes a fresh user interface for Memories in the Photos app, support for the new Apple Music Voice Plan and other cool new features.

If you’re using Apple’s streaming device, you don’t want to miss this update.

What’s new in tvOS 15.2

The release of tvOS 15.2 came alongside Monday’s OS upgrades for iPhone, iPad, Mac and more. The official list of changes in tvOS 15.2 promises new Aerials screen savers with “stunning views of Iceland and Scotland.”

(Note: To download new Aerials more often onto your Apple TV, go to Settings > General > Screen Saver. You can adjust your settings there. And, if you’re curious about the location being shown by an Apple TV Aerials screen saver, press the clickpad or tap the touch surface on your Siri Remote to see details about it.)

The latest Apple TV update also includes improvements to the Photos app’s Memories feature, which offers “a new way to view your Memories on the big screen with a new interactive interface, new animation and transition styles, and multiple image collages,” according to Apple. And Apple Music subscribers will get background music to match what’s in the photos and videos.

Speaking of which, tvOS 15.2 includes support for Apple Music Voice Plan, a cheaper, $4.99-a-month subscription that must be controlled with Siri. This is also part of the recently released iOS 15.2, iPadOS 15.2 and macOS Monterey 12.1 updates.

Play, a new Store tab lets users browse, buy and rent movies and TV shows.
