Apple TV+ released its trailer on Tuesday for season two of it Daytime-Emmy-nominated series Snoopy in Space. After the first season’s visits to the moon and the International Space Station, Snoopy and the Peanuts gang get ready for a journey across the universe in search of life.

Season 2 of Snoopy in Space premieres all 12 episodes on Friday, November 12, on Apple TV+.

Snoopy in Space season 2: Is there life out there?

In a search for alien life in the universe, Snoopy and his friends put NASA’s current research front and center. That includes searching for traces of ice and ancient fossils on Mars. It touches on drilling into oceans hidden inside distant moons. And it even seeks out exoplanets far beyond our own solar system.

Of course, as with any good road trip, Snoopy and Woodstock’s journey includes lots of extra adventures along the way. And there’s plenty of support from Charlie Brown, Franklin, Marcie, Linus and the rest of the Peanuts gang back at Johnson Space Center — as the trailer shows.

One wonders what they did with all the grownups and their wah-wah voices.

An award-winning show

Snoopy in Space is a Daytime Emmy Award nominee and Parents’ Choice Gold Award-winning Apple Original for kids. In partnership with WildBrain and Peanuts Worldwide, the series is designed to inspire students’ passion for space exploration and STEM, Apple TV+ said.

This season’s focus on space is through the lens of “The Search for Life.” It highlights the scientific processes and technology behind space exploration, the need for resilience amid setbacks and the importance of imagination in finding creative solutions.

The series is executive produced by Mark Evestaff, who also serves as showrunner, as well as Craig Schulz, WildBrain’s Josh Scherba, Anne Loi and Stephanie Betts, and Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates’ Paige Braddock.

More for kids from Apple TV+

The award-winning lineup of original films and series for kids and families on Apple TV+ includes the upcoming Harriet The Spy and Hello, Jack! The Kindness Show. You can also look for the recently released Wolfboy and the Everything Factory as well as the Daytime Emmy Award-winning Ghostwriter and the Peabody Award-winning series Stillwater.

Apple TV+ is available by subscription for $4.99 per month with a seven-day free trial.
