NBA 2K22 hits the court at Apple Arcade

Apple Arcade going big with ‘NBA 2K22’ and ‘Transformers: Tactical Arena’
Play some serious basketball with NBA 2K22.

Basketball season kicks off Tuesday and that brings the launch of NBA 2K22 Arcade Edition on Apple Arcade. It promises authentic action starring top players. And also a new mode that lets you run your own NBA franchise.

The just-launched game is exclusive to Apple’s gaming service. There are versions for Mac, iPhone and other Apple platforms.

Shoot some hoops in NBA 2K22 Arcade Edition

The basketball-simulation game features some of the NBA’s top ballers, including Luka Doncic, Damian Lillard, Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, Zion Williamson, Rui Hachimura and Karl-Anthony Towns.

NBA 2K22 Arcade Edition players can compete head-to-head with a friend in Online Multiplayer mode or jump into Quick Match featuring updated 2022 NBA rosters. Other options include playing 3v3 street basketball in Blacktop mode and starting a personal NBA journey in MyCareer mode.

Or take play in a new direction with Association Mode. Aspiring coaches and players can become the general manager and head coach of their favorite NBA franchise and build a dream team. They’ll manage their NBA roster and make trades, sign free agents, scout up-and-coming prospects, and control their team’s finances.

Grab the ball and head for Apple Arcade

NBA 2K22 Arcade Edition by 2K Games launched Tuesday in the Apple Arcade section of the App Store. It’s playable on Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, with game controller support.

Access comes with a $4.99-a-month Apple Arcade subscription. That also includes more than 200 other games like the original NBA 2K21 Arcade Edition that debuted in spring 2021. Sports fans can also enjoy Ultimate RivalsCharrua SoccerBallistic Baseball, and more.

There are no additional costs as ads, in-app purchases and loot boxes are banned by Apple Arcade.
