iPhone 13 shipping dates were looking pretty good 30 minutes after Apple’s newest smartphone lineup was made available to preorder Friday morning — except for one particular model.

Those opting for an iPhone 13 Pro with 1TB of storage face a lengthy wait for their devices, with shipping times already slipping into October.

We expect iPhone shipping dates to slip quickly every year, so it’s pretty surprising that most devices were still available to order with launch-day delivery well over 30 minutes after preorders went live this morning.

Sadly, however, it seems Apple didn’t make enough of the high-end smartphone with the massive 1TB storage option.

1TB iPhone 13 Pro faces lengthy delays

Despite being the most expensive configuration in the iPhone 13 Pro lineup, with prices starting at a whopping $1,499, it seems the 1TB model is proving pretty popular, with initial stocks seemingly already sold out. It’s the largest iPhone storage option ever offered, and buyers seem to be snapping up this model.

Shipping times for 1TB devices quickly slipped well into October in a number of countries, including the United States. Delivery dates look a lot more acceptable for other storage configurations, though, including the 512GB option.

As I write this, however, shipping times are starting to slip for other iPhone 13 options in the United States. However, if you act quickly, there are some iPhone 13 and Pro models that are still showing a delivery date of September 24.
