T-Mobile is offering it customers a full year of Apple TV+ for free. The deal on Apple’s streaming service is available to anyone in Magenta or Magenta Max plans.

T-Mobile makes Apple TV+ free

“Apple TV+ has the highest-rated originals of any streaming service, so we are excited that millions of T-Mobile customers will be able to take advantage of this offer,” said Peter Stern, Apple’s VP of Services.

Starting Wednesday, August 25, all new and existing customers on Magenta or Magenta Max — Magenta 55+, Magenta Military, Magenta First Responders and even Sprint Unlimited Plus, Sprint Premium and small T-Mobile for Business customers included — can redeem the 12-month free Apple TV+ offer.

Those who are already subscribers to Apple’s streaming service are not disqualified.

It’s not necessary to own an iPhone, Mac, etc. to use the service. Of course it’s available on these devices but it’s also accessible from popular smart TVs from Samsung, LG, Sony, VIZIO, TCL and others, Roku and Amazon Fire TV devices, Chromecast with Google TV, as well as PlayStation and Xbox gaming consoles. And from tv.apple.com.

T-Mobile and Sprint customers can visit to promotions.t-mobile.com for additional details.

Wireless carriers offering Apple services isn’t unusual. Verizon subscribers can get a free year of Apple Arcade, for example.

More about Apple TV+

Apple’s streaming service, while still fairly new, has a growing collection of offerings, including thrillers, crime dramas, comedies, sci-fi and documentaries. That includes Mythic Quest, Dickinson, For All Mankind, Servant and of course the breakout hit Ted Lasso. These are almost all original programs, not reruns.

Regular subscribers pay $4.99 a month.
