Aluminum Dock for MagSafe Charger
Satechi, which recently release GaN wall chargers as well as a clamp-on hub for M1 iMacs, called its new Aluminum Dock for MagSafe Charger “an ultra-sleek addition to your iPhone 12 setup.” With its compact design, it fits pretty much anywhere, such as your nightstand or a side table by the front door.
The dock fits your MagSafe charger (not included) and securely holds your iPhone 12 in place. The structure of the dock, with the charging puck inserted, allows you to grab your phone off the magnetic charger with one hand by sliding it to the side. With just a MagSafe Charger, removing your phone is a two-hand operation.
The dock works with the iPhone 12 series. It supports the iPhone 11 series if you purchase a magnetic sticker sold separately for $9.99.
4-Port USB-C Hub
With its aluminum finish and plug-and-play design, Satechi’s new 4-Port USB-C Hub expands a single USB-C port to four. That’s great for connecting your Type-C SSD drives, flash drives and peripherals.
The new hub helps expand your data capabilities. Its four USB-C ports lets you easily back up, transfer or copy files to and from your USB-C host device. The ports offer up to 5Gbps transfer speeds.
The hub supports a variety of Mac hardware as well as PCs. Satetchi noted that the USB-C ports do not support charging or video output.
Price and availability
The Satechi Aluminum Dock for MagSafe Charger 4-Port USB-C Hub are available at Amazon and Satechi. The dock is $24.99. The 4-Port USB-C Hub is $39.99. Both are 20% off those prices with code BK2SCHOOL until August 22. You can go to Satechi’s web pages to purchase the new dock and hub or click below.
