Satechi has done what Apple won’t do and put five handy ports on the front of the M1 iMac. Its new USB-C Clamp Hub includes an SD card reader and four USB ports, making it easier to connect and switch peripherals in a snap.

In the interests of making the iMac as pretty as possible, Apple puts its ports on the back, where no one can see them. That can make connecting accessories a little tricky — especially if yours sits close to a wall.

Satechi solves that problem with the USB-C Clamp Hub, which attaches to the bottom of your M1 iMac to add five ports to its front, where they’re always easily accessible. You can preorder yours today.

Clamp Hub makes iMac accessories easy to connect

The Clamp Hub is designed exclusively for the 2021 iMac (24-inch). It’s made from sturdy aluminum that looks great alongside your fancy all-in-one, and it’s secured with a simple adjustable knob. Soft pads prevent any scratches.

In addition to an SD card reader, the Clamp Hub features a USB-C data port and three USB-A data ports — all of which support transfer speeds of up to 5 Gbps. However, they don’t carry power, so you can’t use them for charging.

The Clamp Hub is available to preorder now from the Satechi website, with shipping scheduled to begin by mid-September. It’s priced at $54.99, but if you use the code IMAC15 at checkout, you’ll save 15% for a limited time.
