Pokémon Café Mix has been downloaded 5 million times worldwide on iOS, Android and Nintendo Switch and, to celebrate, its makers are giving players a special “thank you” bonus.
And it’s all yours so long as you log into the game between now and 10:59 p.m. PST on August 29.
During that time, Trainers in the game will receive 5,000 golden acorns and three each of the Vertical and Horizontal Whistle puzzle powers.
That’s not all. Grookey, the green, monkey-looking Grass Pokémon, also will stop by as a special customer through August 25, along with other — as yet unrevealed — special Pokémon.
Pokémon Café Mix is a cafe sim about feeding Pokémon
Pokémon Café Mix launched in the App Store in late June. In the game, you have to run a food joint that’s frequented by Pokémon. In order to fulfill the different food and drink orders, you have to solve puzzles. There’s also a cafe sim element, with the chance to expand your operation over time.
It’s not the deepest game experience, but it’s certainly a fun title that should appeal to any fans of puzzle games like Candy Crush or Two Dots. Although it does offer micro-transactions, not buying these won’t stop you from playing — and enjoying — the game.
