The Logitech Folio Touch takes full advantage of the trackpad support added to iPadOS. And its keyboard and kickstand help convert the 11-inch iPad Pro into a MacBook alternative.

It offers premium features, like backlit keys, multi-touch trackpad gestures, and support for the Smart Connector.

This case gives Apple’s tablet an attached keyboard and trackpad, with a kickstand to support the screen. “With the adjustable kickstand and foldable keyboard, iPad Pro users can use the laptop-like keyboard and trackpad to get work done and then easily move the keyboard out of the way when they want to sketch, watch videos, or read,” said Michele Hermann, vice president of mobility at Logitech, in a statement.

Apple got serious about the trackpad and mouse in iPadOS 13.4. And the Logitech Folio Touch is all in too. Its trackpad supports all the new multi-touch gestures, including swipe, scroll, switch apps and more.

And the built-in keyboard includes a row of function keys, including ones to control screen brightness and media playback.

Unlike many rival keyboard cases, Logitech’s latest doesn’t use Bluetooth. Instead, it communicates with the iPad Pro via the Smart Connector. This is simpler, more secure, and it means the tablet supplies power to the keyboard.

Coming soon

Logitech Folio Touch is expected to be available in July 2020. It’ll come at a premium price: $159.99.

It is compatible only with the 11-inch iPad Pro (1st and 2nd Generation). There is not a version for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. However, the Logitech Combo Touch is a very similar keyboard case for the 10.5-inch iPad Air 3 or the 10.2-inch iPad 7.  It’s $149.95.
