SteelSeries, the worldwide leader in gaming peripherals, announced its new Nimbus+ Wireless Gamepad Controller for Apple devices Tuesday.

The Nimbus+ improves on the original Nimbus controller by adding a plethora of new features. These include clickable joysticks, new Hall effect triggers, and an impressive 50-hour battery which should make it perfect for gaming during your weekly commute. Once those become a thing again.

In a press release, SteelSeries writes that:

“Designed specifically for gaming on Apple devices, the Nimbus+ brings console-quality game controls to iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, and Apple TV. With an ergonomic design, ultra-responsive triggers and buttons, and a range of Apple connectivity options, Nimbus+ is the best solution to help bring gaming on Apple devices to the next level.”

The Nimbus+ controller will be available to order via the Apple Online Store today, where it will retail for $69.99. It’s not showing at time of writing. While paying $70 is definitely at the higher end of MFi (Made for iPhone/iPod/iPad) gaming controllers, it’s in line with the price of a PS4 or Xbox controller. If you don’t already own a games console (since these controllers also work on Apple devices), this looks to be a great purchase.
