You can now save a small fortune on a 16-inch MacBook Pro by buying a refurbished unit from Apple. A whole host of different models are on offer, with prices currently starting at just $2,039 — $360 off the usual price.

The 16-inch MacBook Pro is Apple’s newest and most powerful notebook. It packs the latest Intel processors and AMD graphics, a new thermal design that promises a cooler experience, and more.

It’s also Apple’s most expensive notebook, with the price of brand-new models starting at a whopping $2,399. But you don’t have to pay full price anymore.

Apple today added refurbished 16-inch MacBook Pro units to its online store. There is a surprisingly wide variety to choose from, and all come with a rather sizable discount.

The base model, which packs a 2.6GHz Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and AMD Radeon Pro 5300M graphics can be yours for just $2,039 — down from $2,399. Other options include:

  • 2.6GHz Core i7, 16GB RAM, Radeon Pro 5300M, 512GB SSD — $2,209 (from $2,399)
  • 2.3GHz Core i9, 16GB RAM, Radeon Pro 5500M 4GB, 1TB SSD — $2,379 (from $2,799)
  • 2.3GHz Core i9, 16GB RAM, Radeon Pro 5500M 8GB, 1TB SSD — $2,459 (from $2,899)
  • 2.4GHz Core i9, 64GB RAM, Radeon Pro 5500M 8GB, 4TB SSD — $4,159 (from $4,899)

These are just a few of the many options on offer today, but refurbished devices typically sell out fast, and there’s no guarantee they will be back. So, if you see one you want, order it now while it’s available.

A portable powerhouse

In addition to beefy internals, the 16-inch MacBook Pro offers a Touch Bar and Touch ID, the best speakers Apple has ever shipped inside a notebook, and a brand-new scissor switch keyboard that’s getting great reviews.

If you can afford it, and you don’t mind its rather large form factor, then the 16-inch MacBook Pro is by far the best laptop Apple sells today.
