Talk about confidence! Apple has renewed its upcoming Apple TV+ gaming comedy series Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet for a second series. That’s despite the fact that the first season is not set to debut until February 2020.

The gamer comedy series, from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia stars Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day, follows a team of video game developers trying to create a sequel to an ultra-popular title. Think The Office meets Silicon Valley, only with a shedload more gaming.

Other cast members on Apple TV+’s gaming comedy show include Academy Award-winner F. Murray Abraham, Danny Pudi, Imani Hakim, Charlotte Nicdao, David Hornsby, Ashly Burch and Jessie Ennis. A trailer for the show debuted earlier this year at E3.

Committing to a second season before the first one has aired is a bold move that speaks volumes about Apple’s confidence. It’s not unprecedented when it comes to Apple TV+, however. Apple commited to at least two seasons of The Morning Show from the beginning. Other shows on the streaming service — including See, Dickinson, Little America, Home Before Dark, For All Mankind and possibly others — have also been renewed by Cupertino.

Want to see if Apple’s faith in Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet was well placed? You’ll have to wait a bit longer. All nine episodes of the Apple TV+ gaming comedy will be available globally on Friday, February 7, 2020.
