Emily Dickinson’s poems often dealt with death and immortality, and that’s reflected in the second trailer for Apple TV+’s Dickinson. She finds herself facing the personification of Death, as well as struggling to make her poetry immortal in a world of men.

Wiz Khalifa shows up as Death in the latest trailer, bringing to life the famous line “Because I could not stop for Death – He kindly stopped for me.”

More about Dickinson

Apple’s description for this upcoming show says:

“Dickinson is a half-hour comedy series starring Oscar® nominee Hailee Steinfeld. Created by Alena Smith, Dickinson audaciously explores the constraints of society, gender, and family from the perspective of rebellious young poet Emily Dickinson. “

Though it’s clearly going to be a bit more dark than that description indicates.

Dickinson is a highlight of the original programs that will launch Apple TV+ on November 1. It will debut alongside other shows with feminist themes: For All Mankind and The Morning Show.

All ten episodes of Dickinson will be available on launch day. Whether Apple will do the same with all its programs is unknown at this time.
