Apple’s home town might be Cupertino, but Apple is a truly global company, circa 2019. (And it has been for years, too.) The latest evidence of this is a ranking of the top tech companies to work for in the U.K. Apple came in at number one on the list.

Apple employs some 6,500 people in the U.K. In capital city London alone it employs 2,500 people. Overall, Apple has around 132,000 full-time employees worldwide.

The first U.K. Apple Store opened in London’s Regent Street on November 20, 2004. Today, it has dozens of Apple Stores around the country.

In 2016, Apple secured a new location for its London HQ in the iconic Battersea Power Station. The 500,000-square-foot site occupies six floors, and will eventually house 3,000 employees. This will let Apple expand its hiring in London. However, employees have not yet started moving in.

Apple’s status as best UK tech employee came from a survey carried out by jobs website Indeed. It analyzed “hundreds of thousands” of job reviews left by employees of technology companies on its website.

The full list, which is dominated by U.S. tech companies, is as follows:

Apple
GDS Group
Cisco
Microsoft
Siemens
Ricoh
Oracle
Fujitsu
IBM
RS Components
Booking.com
Hewlett Packard
Xerox
Just Eat
Amazon

There are several commonly cited reasons for Apple being the best in its class. These include good pay, discounts or free tech products, health and wellness benefits, and company culture. That is impressive for a sector that’s already known for its generous perks and work conditions.
