The rumored 16-inch MacBook Pro will take a page out of the iPhone X’s playbook. According to a new report, it will slim down its bezels to include a larger LCD display in the “same body” as the current 15-inch MacBook Pro.

Apple has reportedly asked Quanta to make the next-gen laptop, which will ship in September.

This is just the latest bit of gossip about Apple’s next MacBook Pro update. A report last week suggested that the laptop could start at $2,975. This would make it one of Apple’s priciest laptops of all time. (Although it’s still half the price the Macintosh Portable commanded in 1989. That’s the equivalent of more than $12,600 today.)

Last week’s report also laid out a possible resolution for the new laptop. It will supposedly feature a 3072 by 1920 LCD display. It could also ditch Apple’s controversial butterfly keyboard in favor of a more reliable design.

Apple’s next-gen MacBook

Provided these rumors are true, this will be the third upgrade the MacBook Pro line has had in 2019. In May, Apple upgraded the 15-inch model with 9th-gen Intel processors. It additionally updated the entry level MacBook Pro laptops with Touch Bar, Touch ID and upgraded CPUs.

Apple is supposedly also planing to unveil new 13.3-inch versions of the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air at around the same time as the 16-inch MacBook Pro.
