Google plans to make its AdSense apps on iOS and Android worse over the next few months before killing them entirely at the end of 2019.

Instead of using mobile apps, Google plans to invest more in its mobile web interface for Adsense to deliver a more uniform experience that is supported on all platforms.

AdSense Product Manager, Andrew Gildfind, revealed in a new blog post today that the company will announce improvements to the AdSense mobile web interface later this year. He says the optimized mobile experience will be much faster and leverage new web technologies to deliver a more automated experience.

“Our vision is an AdSense that does more to keep your account healthy, letting you focus on creating great content, and comes to you when issues or opportunities need your attention,” Gildfind posted.

Honestly, the AdSense app so for iOS is pretty simple. Focusing on just one great experience is probably the best move for the AdSense team. Over a third of AdSense users access their stats from a mobile device. The company didn’t say how many of those users mostly use the apps though.
