The most secure smart lock yet?

CES 2019 bug In the same way that Apple has given us Face ID, Touch ID and good old-fashioned passcodes, so too does Lockly’s new Secure Pro smart lock offer a multitude of ways for users to unlock it.

In addition to a keypad, there’s also a fingerprint scanner, voice assistant integration, and connected mobile app. Oh, and a regular key, of course — just in case you’re one of those people.

In addition to the plethora of ways it can be opened, the ultra-secure lock boasts some other innovative features. For instance, it uses something called PIN Genie technology to make it virtually impossible for another person to access your door code, even when they see you entering it. That’s because, unlike a static keypad where the numbers are always in the same place, Lockly’s keypad display changes its positioning each time a person approaches the door.

The smart lock is available for an online pre-order price of $249.99. That’s down for the $299.99 it will eventually retail for. It is planned to ship within the next couple of months.

In terms of compatibility, it supports both iOS and Android, although its voice assistant integration will initially include only Google Assistant and Amazon’s Alexa. However, HomeKit support is also reportedly in the works, suggesting that Siri integration may not be too far away.
