Mobile photography lensmaker Moment just launched a redesigned telephoto attachment for the iPhone, boasting that it’s sharper than any other smartphone glass on the market.

The 58mm lens works on single- or dual-lens handsets. Pair it with the iPhone XS for a true 100mm optical reach.

Smartphone cameras can deliver stunning images that rival those from conventional cameras. Photographers devoted to working with something like the iPhone as their primary device often attach accessory lenses to expand the camera’s view.

“Telephoto lens is the most searched mobile lens on the market, which means consumers are looking for more soon on their camera phones,” Moment CEO Marc Barros said.

Moment is considered by many to be the best in this space. The company already sells a beautiful 60mm telephoto for the iPhone, Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy phones.

The new telephoto lens accommodates the bigger camera sensors on the latest high-end smartphones. It has a six-element design (its predecessor had just five) for a sharper edge-to-edge image. Moment also says it will increase the bokeh effect in portrait mode, even on single-lens devices like the iPhone XR and Google Pixel 3.

The 58mm telephoto will retail for $99.99. But for a limited time, it is available on the Moment website for 20 percent off.
