Apple’s weakest earnings report of 2018 is scheduled for July 31.

The iPhone-maker notified developers this afternoon that it will reveal how many iPhones it sold during the Q3 2018 fiscal quarter. And it might also drop some clues about when the next iPhones are going on sale.

The Q3 2018 earnings call will be available to listen to live at 2 p.m. Pacific on Apple’s investor site. As usual, Cult of Mac will be here to live-blog the entire call, with all the pithy analysis we can muster about Tim Cook’s comments.

Q3 is usually Apple’s weakest quarter because it occurs at the end of the iPhone sales cycle. Apple posted stronger-than-expected results the last two quarters. Another surprise could be in store this time, but analysts aren’t expecting a surge in iPhone sales

One of the biggest things investors will be looking at is Apple’s guidance for the next quarter. The 2018 iPhone lineup might come out within the last week or so of Q4. If Apple predicts that revenues will come in a lot higher than last Q4, that could be a good sign that three new iPhones are launching soon.
