Carpool Karaoke, Apple’s second television series, is now available for Apple Music subscribers. Building on the Late Late Show format established by James Corden, the show features a variety of celebrities driving in a car, singing hit songs.

A proven format

Pairings for the series will include Will Smith and James Corden, the Cyrus family, Seth MacFarlane and Ariana Grande, Billy Eichner and Metallica, Shakira and Trevor Noah, Game of Thrones actors Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams, Queen Latifah and Jada Pinkett Smith, LeBron James and James Corden, and others.

Rather than following Netflix’s strategy of dumping every episode at once, new episodes of Carpool Karaoke will debut every Tuesday.

Apple dropped the first teaser of Carpool Karaoke back in February this year. Originally, it was scheduled to launch in April, although for some reason Apple delayed its release until after its first truly original (well, kinda original!) show debuted with Planet of the Apps in June.

Given that that show was largely panned by critics, it will be interesting to see if Apple can have any more luck second time around — especially with a format that has proven popular for viral videos.
