It’s the iPhone’s tenth anniversary this year, which means there’s no chance Apple is going to deliver another incremental upgrade with an all too familiar design. We’re expecting big things from the so-called iPhone 8 — including a complete face-lift.
Here are our gorgeous concepts for the iPhone 8 based on everything we know so far.
Apple doesn’t typically unveil its latest iPhone until September, but it’s not too early to start talking about the next model. We’ve already seen countless rumors surrounding the iPhone 8, some of which are coming from reputable sources that have been right in the past.
In the video below, we run through some of the features we expect to see — like wireless charging and facial recognition — and offer some gorgeous mockups that should get you even more excited for what’s to come. Ceramic, anyone?
I’m a big lover of the iPhone 7, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t bored of its design before it even shipped. I’m also a little disappointed it doesn’t already have features like wireless charging, which have been commonplace on its Android-powered rivals for years.
Rumor has it Apple will address many of these shortcomings with the iPhone 8. And in typical Apple fashion, it won’t just take existing technologies and use them as is without making them even better.

According to some reports, Apple’s wireless charging solution won’t require silly charging pads. Instead, it will transmit energy to your device within a field, letting you place it down almost anywhere and continue using it while it’s topping up.
Apple wouldn’t use any old ceramic, either. For Apple Watch, the company used ceramic combined with zirconia, which makes it extremely efficient at dissipating heat. This would be ideal for a mobile device filled with processors and other chips that need to stay cool.

A fancy new design — preferably made from ceramic — and wireless charging are at the top of my wish-list. What’s on yours? Let us know down in the comments.
