Though it was announced just yesterday, the first deal on the newly updated MacBook with Skylake processor is already here. You’ll find that, plus refurbished iMacs, the lowest price we’ve seen on an iPad Air 16GB Wi-Fi, and more, in this roundup of the week’s best Apple deals.

MacBook Skylake m7 12-inch laptop with AppleCare for $1,702

That’s right, on the very day it was announced, the updated MacBook saw its first deal. ExperCom offers the current-generation 2-pound Apple MacBook Intel Skylake Core m7 1.3GHz 12-inch Retina laptop in four colors, bundled with an AppleCare three-year extended protection plan for MacBook, for $1,702.22 plus $13.50 for shipping.

Though it’s not a flat discount on the computer, it’s still a great deal for those who want it right now, with AppleCare, and don’t want to pay full price. This deal comes in at $49 under the lowest total price we could find for these items sold separately elsewhere. Our research shows that for Apple laptops,

The spanking-new MacBook features an Intel Core m7 1.3GHz Skylake dual-core processor, 12-inch 2,304-by-1,440 IPS LED-backlit Retina display, 8GB RAM, 256GB flash storage, 802.11ac wireless, Bluetooth 4.0, USB Type-C, FaceTime camera, backlit keyboard and Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan). Deal ends May 3.

Apple AirPort 3TB Time Capsule for $330

Always Deals via eBay offers the Apple AirPort 3TB Time Capsule for $329.99 with free shipping. That’s the lowest total price we could find by $29 and the best no-rebate price we’ve seen on Apple’s speedy Wi‑Fi base station/backup device. (We saw it for $299 after rebate in October.) The AirPort features an 802.11ac Wi-Fi base station with a built-in hard drive.

Refurbished Apple iMac desktops from $889

We have a rule to “never buy Apple products directly from Apple,” where they are never discounted. The one exception for that is with refurbished products, because Apple’s refurbishment process is definitely worth the money compared to other, less-reliable ones.

This week, the Apple Store discounts a selection of factory-refurbished Apple iMac desktops, with prices starting at $889. Plus, they all qualify for free shipping. That’s tied with our mention from two weeks ago as the cheapest we’ve seen these systems from Apple. These desktops come with a one-year Apple warranty, the same as new iMacs.

One particularly good deal is the refurb Apple iMac 21.5-inch Haswell i5 dual-core 1.6GHz desktop for $929, $71 under the price of a new model.

Apple iPad Air 16GB Wi-Fi for $249

Walmart offers the iPad Air 16GB Wi-Fi tablet in Space Gray for $249 with free shipping. That’s $31 under our mention from last week and the lowest total price we’ve seen for a new unit. (It’s also a current best by $50.) It features a 9.7-inch Retina display, A7 chip with M7 motion coprocessor and 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi with MIMO support.
