Gameloft has released the trailer for its forthcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2 mobile game.
Timed to coincide with the build-up to the movie sequel of the same name (which hits theaters Friday, May 2), the game will land in the App Store sometimes in April.
While licensed movie tie-ins have been pretty poor since practically the birth of video games, the original The Amazing Spider-Man game was actually better than expected — currently holding a 4.5 rating in the App Store.
Combining action, RPG elements, and an impressive open-world design, this sequel looks to do more of the same.
It’s also impressively close to the console version when it comes to graphics. For comparison purposes that trailer is below:
