Following up on the successful release of Final Fantasy IV on iOS back in 2012, publisher Square-Enix is following it up with a sequel, which follows up on the characters and events of that game twenty years later. It’s called Final Fantasy IV: The After Years and it’s available now on the App Store.

Final Fantasy IV: The After Years takes place a couple of decades after the events of the first game, and many of that game’s characters return, along with new heroes like the improbably named Ceodore, who is the son of Final Fantasy IV‘s Cecil and Rosa.

Like other Final Fantasy games, The After Years features the series’ ionic active time battle system. The After Years also features some in-game mechanics involving lunar phases, and you can supercharge your heroes by synergizing them through your characters Band Abilities.

If you like Final Fantasy games, you ought to give this one a shot. Keep in mind, though, that Square-Enix’s games come at quite the price on mobile, and Final Fantasy IV: The After Years will cost you $15.99.
