We’ve been eagerly awaiting Infinity Blade: Dungeons since it was teased by Chair Entertainment during Apple’s iPad keynote back in March. But six months later, the title is yet to hit the App Store. There’s a chance, however, that we could finally see its launch today during Apple’s iPhone 5 keynote. Here’s why.

First, Chair has just dropped the prices of Infinity Blade and Infinity Blade II to $0.99 and $2.99 respectively, down from $5.99 and $6.99. It doesn’t disclose a reason for the sale, it just tells us to get them while we can, because they’re only reduced for a limited time. It’s clearly trying to shift a few copies pretty quickly, then.

At first, I didn’t think much of the sale; I just thought it was a coincidence it was happening days before Apple’s iPhone 5 keynote. But the more I think about it, the more I believe that it hints at an Infinity Blade: Dungeons launch during today’s event. And as TouchArcade notes, Chair did the same thing with Epic Citadel, the title that showed off its Unreal Engine prior to the original Infinity Blade release.

As always, Apple will likely call upon a select few iOS developers to showcase their apps on the new iPhone 5 on stage today, and it’s likely Chair will be one of them; the company has made an appearance at a number of Apple keynotes in the past. There’s a strong possibility, then, that Infinity Blade: Dungeons will be used to show off the iPhone 5’s gaming capabilities, and that Chair will announce its availability from today.
