Caviar, the Russian company behind some of the craziest iPhone mods we’ve ever seen, has come out with its first folding iPhone concept design video today and as you’d expect, it’s absolutely wild.

Not satisfied with just one fold out display, Caviar’s ‘iPhone Z’ concept proposes having a display that folds twice. The end result is an iPhone that folds out to the same size as an iPad Pro, only its even more useful.

Prepare to be blown away:

Some Apple fans are hoping for big design changes this year with Apple’s flagship design but there’s no indication that folding screens will be added this year, or even next year. Given how horribly Samsung’s Galaxy Fold is already doing, we wouldn’t be surprised if Apple holds off until the tech is more mature and reliable.

“We really expect something amazing from the new Apple flagship and will not be impressed by any systematic updates,” said Caviar’s representatives. “We, as the brand that has been working with Apple technics and their consumers for already 7 years, have our own ideas about it. We decided to dress them in the form of a concept and make it a public fare.”

Caviar estimates that its concept iPhone Z would cost “no less than 2900 Euros.” That would make it more expensive that the entry level Mac Pro.

The firm is hoping to inspire Apple with its concept design. With four different possible viewing modes, the iPhone Z concept certainly isn’t short on imagination. 15MP cameras all around and embedded Face ID sensors would also be welcomed additions.
