The Apple Watch is the most functional smartwatch you can slap on your wrist, but when it comes to style, it still leaves a lot to be desired. Russian design team Feld & Volk is ready to fix that, though, with an Apple Watch concept that draws upon the latest watchmaking trends used by top manufacturers.

To give Jony Ive’s wearable a look that rivals the status of luxe Swiss brands, Feld & Volk dreamed up an Apple Watch concept that uses sophisticated, high-end composite materials while also improving the design to be more ergonomic.

The Apple Watch concept is made of a carbon-fiber frame. Feld & Volk redesigned the pusher for the contacts/Apple Pay side button, as well as added anodized steel to the frame.

“Apple Watch is a perfect gadget but as a wearable accessory it lacks some visual details,” Feld & Volk told Cult of Mac. “So we’ve tried to create more ergonomic design that would have fit even conservative public who doesn’t consider wearing Apple Watch only because it’s made by this company.”
