Apple Watch’s biggest fan? Siri

Don't worry, Apple. Siri likes your watch.

Everybody likes to get a good chuckle out of Siri, Apple’s virtual assistant. But we really have to call its brand neutrality into question.

Despite all of the doom and gloom we’ve been hearing since the Apple Watch launched in April, including the company’s own reluctance to let us know how well the device is selling, it looks like our favorite digital helper has decided that it’s a winner.

Asking Siri “What is your favorite watch?” or “What do you think of the Apple Watch?” will get you some enthusiastic endorsements of Apple’s latest gizmo. And this is our surprised face.

And yeah, it’s weird to ask the digital assistant on your watch what it thinks of the watch you’re using to speak to it. So what does Siri’s counterpart on the iPhone think of the Apple Watch?

So there you go: Apple’s digital assistant loves Apple’s smartwatch. Luckily, we still have time to stop the presses on the evening edition. And it’s nice to know that Siris’s sense of humor is still just a notch above dad jokes.

We’re used to getting some sass from Siri; just ask it about what happens when you divide zero by zero or ask the Apple Watch version what time it is, and get ready to absorb some abuse. Siri was even obsessed before the Apple Watch came out, and it’s nice to know that the smartwatch has apparently lived up to the assistant’s completely neutral expectations.

Maybe we should ask it something hard, like what it thinks of the iPad.

God damn it, Siri.
