The Cult of Mac faithful have spoken: Apple’s cuddly co-founder The Woz will be the latest tech icon recreated in wax as a Madame Tussauds statue.

Beating out other possible candidates including Elon Musk, Steve Wozniak will take his rightful place alongside the waxen visages of Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg at Madame Tussauds’ San Francisco museum this fall.

Apparently it will take 2-3 months for sculptors to finish the creation, which will begin with a three hour session in which 250 measurements are taken from the real-life Woz.

“I am incredibly excited to be inducted into the Madame Tussauds family. I remember visiting the London Museum as a kid, and how cool it was to see Mark Knopfler’s figure in wax,” Steve Wozniak said in a statement released by Madame Tussauds. “I can’t wait to see my figure next to Jobs – it’ll be just like old times.”

We wonder if the sculptors will give him a wax Segway to stand on. Or maybe a wax koala to celebrate his impending Australian citizenship.
